Training on Superficial Facial Veins

  • Student performing a Face Vein treatment using  a Vascular hand piece.
  • 1064 Nd:Yag Laser used with DCD cooling.
  • The direction of the blood flow is checked before performing the treatment.
  • Clinical Endpoints: Looking for the disappearance of the blood vessel, vessel shrinkage, vessel darkening and sticky blood vessels after blanche test.
  • Client was extremely happy, complete disappearance of the vessel. Face looked clear, she had mild redness but no real downtime.

Training on Leg Veins

  • The key to successful treatment on Leg Veins is knowing the diameter of the veins.
  • The students start by measuring the veins using a vein gauge card and then choose the appropriate parameters to treat those veins.
  • End result: reached good clinical endpoints, the blood vessel coagulated and did not refill after performing the Blanche test.

Training on Sunspots & Freckles on Arms

  • This is superficial pigment that lies in the epidermis and easy for the Laser to target and clear.
  • Using the Alexandrite Laser which has a very good melanin absorption.
  • Students use a hole punched paper to mask the surrounding area.
  • No cooling is used before or during the treatment, to heat the pigment up.
  • Clinical endpoints, popping sound, darkening of the pigment, peri-lesional erythema.

Training on Sunspots & Freckles on Shoulders

Training on Laser Skin Tightening

  • Energy of the Long Pulsed Nd:yag is delivered deep into the dermis.
  • The students use the latest painting technique to heat the skin up between 40 and 43 degrees.
  • The aim of the treatment is to improve laxity and collagen contraction.
  • Full Face and Neck treatment takes 45 Minutes.
  • Clinical endpoints are erythema and warmth on the skin.
  • The client will have no downtime after treatment.

Training on Sunspots & Freckles on Back

  • Training on Sunspots/Freckles on Back.
  • This is superficial pigment that lies in the epidermis and easy for the Laser to target and clear.
  • The client is having her second treatment for sunspot freckle removal. She saw an 80% reduction after her first treatment.
  • Students now use a technique to cover the whole back using a bigger spot to even out the skin as there is not much pigment left.
  • No cooling is used before or during the treatment, to heat the pigment up.
  • Clinical endpoints, popping sound, darkening of the pigment, peri-lesional erythema.

Training on Red Blood Spots / Cherry Angiomas

  • Training on Red Blood Spots/Cherry Angiomas/Campbell de Morgan Spots.
  • Using a Vascular Hand piece on the 1064 Nd:Yag Laser.
  • No cooling used before or during the treatment.

IPL Photo Rejuvenation

  • The students use an intense pulse light system to provide a Rejuvenation Facial.
  • The Intense Pulse Light system releases precisely controlled short pulses of filtered light, which is delivered through the skin and then absorbed by the targeted damaged tissue. It stimulates the fibroblast cells within the skin that produce collagen and elastin.
  • The students apply a thin layer of chill gel to the area. The light application is placed onto the skin and a short pulse of light is released. The hand piece is then moved to neighbouring areas and the process is repeated until the entire area is treated.
